In earlier years, before the cable car was built, the area was shaped mainly by alpine farming in summer. In winter, the people of Lungern used it for ski touring. After the turbulence surrounding the cable car in recent years, the area threatened to sink back into a Sleeping Beauty slumber. The concept fully complies with the structure plan and promotes gentle tourism without ifs or buts.
