We serve dinner between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. You can choose from a small à la carte menu featuring seasonal and regional dishes.
If you have any allergies (celiac disease, lactose intolerance, etc.), please inform us when making your reservation. This allows us to offer you suitable alternatives.

Please check in at the restaurant buffet. We will show you the shoe room, your accommodations, and provide all other important information for your stay at Bärghuis Schönbüel.

After the free cancellation period (up to 3 days before the arrival date), we charge 50% up to the arrival date. Cancellations on the arrival date will be charged 100%.

Groups of 10 or more people:
Cancellations, postponements, and changes to the number of people for reservations of 10 or more must be reported and confirmed by phone at least 5 days before the booked overnight stay.

In addition to standard payment methods such as cash, EC card, VISA, and Mastercard, we also accept TWINT payments.

A rich breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. Breakfast is served from 7:45 AM to 8:45 AM.

We have a limited number of hut slippers available. You are also welcome to bring your own slippers.

The use of hut sleeping bags is mandatory at Bärghuis Schönbüel. If you bring your own hut sleeping bag, you will receive a discount of CHF 5.–.

We warmly welcome you and your four-legged companions to our beautiful Bärghuis Schönbüel.
It is very important to us that everyone feels comfortable here, both you and the guests who will occupy the room after you. For this reason, a flat fee of CHF 15 is charged for the additional cleaning effort.
Unfortunately, we have had very unpleasant experiences with some guests, so we specifically ask you in advance not to dispose of dog waste bags in the household trash or leave them on windowsills, but to dispose of them independently in the valley.
Please do not use our towels and washcloths for grooming and cleaning your four-legged friend.
When booking through the portal, simply note ‘with dog,’ and we will be informed.

Please note that the ascent to Bärghuis Schönbüel takes at least 1.5 hours. The hike is only recommended for children if they are a bit older and/or have good stamina.

We do not have public Wi-Fi at Bärghuis Schönbüel. Instead, you can enjoy the impressive mountain panorama for free. 😉

Out of consideration for other overnight guests, we aim for quiet hours starting at 11:00 PM. If you wish to stay longer in the restaurant, please clarify this with the restaurant staff beforehand.

The Bärghuis Schönbüel is open continuously during the winter and summer seasons. Please check the opening hours and the timetable of the respective cable car operators before your visit.

A reservation is advisable to guarantee you a sleeping place. You are welcome to book directly online via our website.

The Bärghuis Schönbüel is owned by the owner cooperative and is not affiliated with the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC). Therefore, we cannot grant SAC members a price reduction.

The Bärghuis Schönbüel has eight double rooms, two 3-bed rooms, and two 4-bed rooms.

Each room is individually furnished with great care. All rooms have a washbasin with running cold and hot water. Showers and toilets are located on each floor.
