The aerial tramway takes you comfortably to the starting point of your hike on the Turren. First, follow the concrete road downhill for a short distance to Alp Dundel. Follow trail marker No. 575 (Butterfly Trail) to reach Dundelegg. Climb up the distinctive mountain ridge to reach Rückenegg and, a little further on, the popular viewpoint on the Mändli (2,056 m). To the north, the Sarneraatal valley lies at your feet. Looking south, you’ll see the Bernese Alps at their most beautiful. In the same direction, you’ll spot the Bärghuis in its wonderful setting. You’ll reach it in no time via the Biet. After a one-hour descent across Alp Breitenfeld, you’ll return to your starting point on the Turren.
